Dr. Md. Azhar is a distinguished academician and researcher currently serving as the Principal Polytechnic and Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MMANTC, Malegaon. He holds a Master’s degree (M.Tech.) and a Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, where he secured the Second Position among all branches of the PG course during his M.Tech. studies.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Azhar has demonstrated a strong commitment to research excellence. He has authored a significant number of research papers, including 4 Q1-SCI journal papers stemming from his Ph.D. work and a total of 23 SCI/Scopus indexed research papers to his credit. Notably, his research publications have appeared in high-impact factor journals, indicating the quality and relevance of his contributions to the scientific community. Moreover, Dr. Azhar has established fruitful research collaborations with prestigious national and international institutes such as IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, DUET Bangladesh, JMI New Delhi, BAG Energy Research Society (UP), German Jordanian University (Jordan), Australian University (Kuwait), and University of Sharjah (Sharjah, UAE). His research interests primarily focus on energy and exergy analyses of various vapour absorption refrigeration systems, solar cooling systems, solar pasteurization systems, and the effective utilization of renewable energy in air conditioning and cooling systems.

In addition to his research endeavors, Dr. Azhar actively contributes to the academic community through his role as a reviewer for 300 research papers in reputable journals. Furthermore, he serves as an editor for three esteemed journals, showcasing his leadership and expertise in scholarly publishing.

Dr. Azhar’s scholarly impact is further evidenced by his substantial citation count, with over 350 citations on Google Scholar. He is also a sought-after speaker, having delivered numerous keynote and invited lectures at various colleges and institutes, thereby disseminating knowledge and fostering academic exchange in his field.
