Dr. Fahad Iqbal

Dr. Fahad Iqbal, born on March 21, 1988, in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh (UP), India, has emerged as a prominent figure in the field of electrical engineering, driven by a passion for renewable energy systems and smart grid technologies. His academic journey commenced at Syedna Tahir Saifuddin High School (Minto Circle), affiliated with Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), where he completed his matriculation in 2005. Continuing his education at the Senior Secondary School (Boys) of AMU, Dr. Iqbal graduated from high school in 2007, laying the groundwork for his future academic pursuits.

In 2011, Dr. Iqbal earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Integral University, located in Lucknow, India. Equipped with a solid foundation in electrical engineering, he further honed his expertise by pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Power Systems and Management at Jamia Millia Islamia, a prestigious central university renowned for its academic excellence and innovative research programs.

Driven by a desire to delve deeper into the complexities of smart grid technologies and renewable energy systems, Dr. Iqbal embarked on his Ph.D. journey at Jamia Millia Islamia. Under the mentorship of Prof. Anwar Shahzad Siddiqui, he conducted groundbreaking research on the analysis and optimization of a Smart Microgrid. His doctoral work focused on integrating distributed energy resources, hybrid power systems, and deregulated power systems into a cohesive framework, with the aim of enhancing energy efficiency and grid resilience.

Dr. Iqbal’s research interests span a wide range of topics, including renewable energy systems, microgrids, distributed energy resources, hybrid power systems, and deregulated power systems. His contributions to the field have not only advanced the understanding of complex energy systems but also paved the way for sustainable and resilient energy infrastructure.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Dr. Fahad Iqbal finds solace in traveling and indulges in games of chess and table tennis. His objective in life is to leverage his skills and experiences to foster a positive atmosphere and promote higher quality education among students. Dr. Iqbal aspires to assume a responsible position where he can effectively utilize his abilities and experiences to contribute to organizational growth while continuously striving for personal and professional development.

Dr. Iqbal’s dedication to advancing knowledge in the field of electrical engineering, coupled with his commitment to education and mentorship, exemplifies his lifelong pursuit of excellence and service to society.
