Student Code of Conduct

Uniform:

All students must adhere to the dress code and wear the prescribed uniform at all times during college hours. Any deviation from the dress code will not be tolerated.

Attendance:

75% attendance is mandatory for all students to be eligible to appear for the end-term examinations. Absence from classes without prior permission from the concerned authorities will not be entertained.

College Timing:

All students must report to college on time and attend all classes as per the schedule. Students are not allowed to leave the college premises during college hours without prior permission from the concerned authorities.

Fee:

All students must pay their fees on time as per the college guidelines. Any delay in payment of fees will result in penalties and may affect the student’s academic progress.

Ragging:

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in the college premises, hostels, or any other location affiliated with the college. Any student found indulging in ragging will be subject to strict disciplinary action, which may include expulsion from the college.

Academic Integrity:

All students are expected to maintain academic integrity and avoid any form of academic misconduct, such as plagiarism, cheating, or any other unethical practices. Any student found guilty of academic misconduct will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include expulsion from the college.

Respectful Behavior:

All students are expected to treat their fellow students, teachers, and staff with respect and dignity. Any form of disrespectful behavior, such as verbal or physical abuse, discrimination, or harassment, will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.

Responsible Use of Technology:

All students are expected to use technology responsibly and ethically. The use of electronic devices in classrooms is strictly prohibited, and any misuse of technology, such as hacking, cyberbullying, or accessing unauthorized materials, will not be tolerated.

Participation in Co-Curricular Activities:

All students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities, such as sports, cultural events, technical clubs, and community service. Such activities provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, and also contribute to their overall development.

Safety and Security:

All students are responsible for their own safety and security, as well as that of their fellow students, teachers, and staff. Any violation of the safety and security protocols, such as smoking, drinking, or any other illegal activities, will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.

Environmental Responsibility:

All students are expected to be environmentally responsible and contribute towards sustainable practices. They should avoid littering, conserve water and electricity, and participate in initiatives such as tree planting, waste segregation, and recycling.

Professionalism:

All students are expected to demonstrate professionalism in their behavior and attitude, both within and outside the college premises. This includes punctuality, respect for deadlines, effective communication, and adherence to professional ethics and values.

Health and Wellness:

All students are encouraged to maintain good physical and mental health and seek appropriate support if needed. They should avoid consuming harmful substances such as tobacco, alcohol, or drugs, and participate in activities such as sports, yoga, or meditation to promote wellness.

Grievance Redressal:

All students have the right to raise their grievances or complaints to the concerned authorities in a respectful and responsible manner. They should follow the established grievance redressal mechanisms and avoid any form of retaliation or intimidation.

Continuous Learning:

All students are expected to engage in continuous learning and improvement, both in their academic and personal domains. They should take advantage of the resources and opportunities available in the college, such as libraries, workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs, to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Industrial Visit:

All students are expected to actively participate in industrial visits, which provide opportunities for students to gain practical exposure to the industry and learn about the latest technologies and trends. During the visit, students should maintain discipline and adhere to the guidelines provided by the faculty and industry personnel.

External Guests:

All students are expected to show respect and courtesy to external guests, such as industry experts, guest lecturers, or visiting dignitaries, who may visit the college from time to time. Students should greet them with politeness and attentiveness, maintain discipline during the guest lecture or event, and avoid any disruptive behavior or comments. Students should also seek opportunities to interact with the guests and learn from their experiences and insights.

As a responsible student, you are expected to adhere to these guidelines and maintain discipline and decorum on the college premises. Any violation of the code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, which may affect your academic progress and future prospects.
