Dr. Yakub Ansari have completed Ph.D. at the Institute of Engineering & Management (UEM), in July 2025. Prior to this, he then completed Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Environmental Engineering from NMU in 2017. His academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from NMU and Diploma in Civil Engineering from Government Polytechnic, which laid a strong foundation for his career. In addition, he has completed his S.S.C. in 2002 from Canosa Convent High School.
Since June 2014, Dr, Yakub Ansar have been associated with MMANTC Engineering College, Mansoora Malegaon, Nashik in various academic and administrative roles. He began as an Assistant Professor, later promoted to Senior Assistant Professor in June 2017, and currently serve as an Associate Professor since July 2025.His primary responsibilities include teaching both Engineering and Polytechnic courses, with a focus on core civil engineering subjects under the Savitribai Phule Pune University framework.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Yakub Ansari held multiple leadership roles, including Head of the Civil Engineering Department (Aug 2020 – Apr 2025) and currently as Principal of the Polytechnic since May 2025. He has also been entrusted with the role of Dean of Administration since June 2020, where he oversees institutional operations, academic planning, and departmental coordination. His tenure reflects a blend of academic dedication and administrative leadership in technical education.
Dr. Yakub Ansari have worked with Archen Engineering Consultant Co. in Saudi Arabia on the South Border Infrastructure Project, which included military quarters and border road development. As a Civil Engineer from Feb 2013 to Apr 2014, His was responsible for site management and billing. This role enhanced his ability to manage large-scale infrastructure projects under strict timelines and standards.
Previously, he served as a Project Engineer at Shree Paras Buildcon in Nashik on two residential projects. From Oct 2009 to Apr 2011, where he oversaw a G+7 apartment project at Mahatma Nagar, followed by a G+2 apartment at Camp, Malegaon from Jun 2012 to Dec 2012. His core responsibilities included site supervision, billing, and ensuring structural compliance.
He also worked in Doha, Qatar, with FAS Trading, Maintenance & Contracting Co. W.L.L, on a B+G+7 residential building covering 7000 m². From May 2011 to May 2012, he handled estimation, billing, and site operations. This international experience broadened his technical knowledge and exposed me to global construction practices and standards.
Dr. Yakub Ansari have completed several professional development programs to enhance my expertise. These include online certification courses from IITs, such as the NPTEL course on Environmental Impact Assessment from IIT Roorkee and Water Supply Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. Additionally, He completed a course on Waste Water Treatment and Recycling from IIT Madras and Integrated Waste Management for Smart Cities from IIT Kharagpur. He also successfully completed a three-week online course titled “Renewable Energy and Green Building Entrepreneurship” offered by Duke University, USA.
The course focused on sustainable energy solutions and eco-friendly building practices.
It enhanced knowledge in renewable technologies and green business models.
This certification reflects a commitment to sustainable development and innovation in construction.
He also participated in multiple AICTE-recognized Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), including “Energy and Innovative Building Construction Practices” organized by NITTTR Chandigarh in August 2021. Other notable FDPs were on “Disaster Management and Sustainable Development through ICT” and “Innovative Technologies through Unnat Bharat Abhiyan,” both conducted in 2022 with MMANTC Mansoora Malegaon.
Further, Dr. Yakub Ansari attended a five-day international workshop on “Sustainable Environmental Engineering Practices” sponsored by TEQIP-III, organized by NIT Roorkee, in 2020. He has also participated in FDPs on recent advances in civil engineering, sponsored by VJTI Mumbai and Ultratech Cement Ltd.
Dr. Yakub Ansari have actively participated in numerous international conferences, engaging with global researchers and presenting innovative work in the field of sustainable construction and environmental engineering. His academic contributions include the publication of 18 research papers in reputed international journals and book chapters, many of which are SCI and Scopus indexed. These works reflect his commitment to addressing environmental challenges through advanced civil engineering solutions.
Key publications include the “Ecological Footprint Assessment of Concrete” with partial cement replacement using water treatment sludge and stone dust (Sustainability, SCI indexed), and “Life Cycle Ecological Footprint of a Low-Rise Tropical Building” (International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology, SCI indexed). I also contributed a Scopus-indexed book chapter on recycled asphalt pavement construction in Springer’s Environmental Footprints series. These works demonstrate my focus on reducing ecological impacts through sustainable materials and life cycle assessment.
