Visit Details:
An industrial visit to the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) at Tapovan, Nashik is conducted on 29th March 2022 at 2:30 pm. The plant is treating municipal wastewater generated in Nashik city. The plant is based on UASB and ASP technology and has a total capacity of 130 MLD. Mr. Vispute, an in-charge officer of the plant guided the students and explained the treatment processes carried out at the plant. From this visit, students got detailed information and practical knowledge about different processes/operations involved in the treatment of wastewater.

Visit Details:
On 29th March 2022 at 12:30 am students of TE and TY Civil visited the BioMedical Solid Waste Management Plant at Nashik. In charge officer of the plant explained various segregation and treatment activities involved in the management and disposal of BioMedical solid waste. The plant is managing the BioMedical waste coming from different parts of Nashik district like Sinnar, Malegaon, Deolali camp & Bhagur, Pimpalgaon.

On 29th March, 2022 at 3:30 pm students of civil engineering visited the Municipal Solid Waste Management plant at Nashik. In charge officer of the plant guided all the students and explained different activities of processing, recovery and landfilling performed at the plant. Student have learnt about the following processes involved in the Municipal Solid Waste Management.

- Aerobic Composting
- Inert processing
- Leachate treatment
- Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF)
- Animal Carcass Incineration
- Sanitary Landfill.
